  1. I wish I was in town to attend the event. “Dead Weight” was a wonderful book. Taking a real event and fictionalizing it just enough to put the reader in the moment. Poignant, tragically touching and beautifully written. A must read for anyone who loves history’s lesser known moments -in addition to a great story!
